I am originally from Leeds, in the U.K. My first 12 years of U.S. consisted of me travelling around the U.S. coaching and playing soccer. I eventually settled down with my family in Laguna Niguel, South Orange County, California. You can't play soccer forever! : ( (As my wife said)
I enjoy working with people, teaching and helping so wanted to work in that area. I obtained my California Real Estate License and completed an intense real estate training program. During training I was head hunted by a property investment company, consequently I had a very successful 10 years with them. Learning, training, and being exposed to a great many investment opportunities both on my behalf and the many clients I worked with.
Working in investments was great, I enjoyed it, but I wasn't able to help many of my good friends .So I changed direction. I reeducated myself in residential real estate, and moved to an office locally where I could help my friends and relatives with their real estate needs.
I was lucky enough to be introduced to Berkshire Hathaway (formally Prudential) they have an office just minutes from my house. A great office, very professional, with a wonderful team.
So I am now in a position to help friends and family, work locally, close to home. I now have easy access to the homes that my clients are either selling renting or buying. I am able to analyze and have easy access to the properties. Not only that, I now get the chance to spend more free time with my family, a win-win situation
