Without exception, prior to the late 1970's, the only two things that I knew about real estate were how to spell the words and pay my rent! Shortly thereafter, I was fortunate to meet a dear friend who was selling real estate and convinced me to obtain my real estate license. Since that time, I have been a full time dedicated 'Career Realtor'.

My career has covered numerous aspects of the housing industry from real estate sales, management and building my own brokerage. The brokerage was named Pridemark Realtors, established in 1980 and continuing until mid 1993, Pridemark grew from a single residential office to six locations. In addition, the corporation expanded into commercial investment, escrow, mortgage, custom home construction and corporate relocation. At the height of the expansion Pridemark was staffed with more than 500 sales agents and 47 employees. During this time period, the company sold in excess of 10,000 homes in Orange County.

While this rapid growth paced the expanding housing market in Orange County, it also reduced the amount of time for family life. In 1992 I decided to invest more time into my family and sought a suitable buyer for the companies. In 1993, I sold my companies to Star Real Estate and Prudential California Realty.

After a brief sabbatical, I began a consulting program with a number of foreign and national companies. Once again, I discovered that my business life was divided by numerous travel plans and in late 1995 I re-entered the real estate industry as a sales broker. It was a career decision that I have never regretted. One of the most rewarding benefits of being a ' Career Realtor' is the development of relationships with numerous people. From cultural diversity, unique and interesting personalities, the real estate business offers an abundance of worldly engagements. Each client has desires and aspirations which require focused dedication. In my opinion, the value of a realtor is measured by each client's expectations.

In closing, I am commonly asked the question "how is business" ? My response is nearly always the same. My business is productive, engaging and challenging. I love selling homes along the coast nearly as much as I love my family and the ocean.
