From humble roots in California's Central Valley, I headed to college on athletic scholarship where I competed in Volleyball (as an Outside Hitter) and Track and Field (as a jumper and sprinter). I caught the travel bug while sailing the world with Semester at Sea, but I was pleasantly surprised to find Santa Barbara remained my favorite destination.
Post graduate studies took me to Cal Poly, SLO, and I began work as a Social Work supervision in foster care agencies. Since then I have worked as aGuidance Counselor, Director of Children's Ministries, Au Pair Coordinator, and High School Coach for Volleyball and Track. Real Estate has been a fantastic transition - one that meshes nicely with our young family.
My husband and I were married at the Santa Barbara Zoo (where he now directs Education) in 2004, and we have 3 fun kiddos. During the last decade we have lived in a variety of places - San Luis Obispo, Visalia, Orange County, Denver, Scotland, and finally home to our favorite, Santa Barbara.
Each move served as a new real estate classroom - whether it was the duplex we bought as a rental, the historic home in a high crime neighborhood, new construction, a variety of unique rentals, a foreclosure that became our renovation project, or the basement apartment we built out.
All those lessons left me hungry to explore real estate professionally. After working with Keller Williams for 3 years and helping clients purchase new construction, fixers, and Luxury estates I've made the transition to Berkshire Hathaway.
When I catch a quiet moment, I love reading a good book, being active at the beach, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I also love helping others connect - sometimes it can be difficult to build strong friendships and rich community, so we work hard to invest love well and meet needs. I'm a member of the Junior League of Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Rescue Mission's Auxilery and volunteer with Girl Scouts of the Central Coast. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you.
