Jody earned a bachelor of arts in Economics from CSU Fullerton in 1993. He worked for several years at a regional investment banking firm as a retail stock broker. He successfully helped raise funds for several companies through both private placement and public stock offerings.
Following his entrepreneurial instincts, he went on to open, own and operate more than a dozen self-defense studios from Portland, Oregon to Houston, Texas. As the number one franchisee for over 20 years, his studios made made substantial positive impacts on their respective communities.
In 2013, Jody founded Alpha Project Americas, a tax-exempt charitable organization who's mission is to establish multiple, self-sustaining safe havens for at-risk youth in Latin America and the US. With current sports outreach programs in Costa Rica, Alpha has worked to uplift the youth impoverished communities. Alpha has also provided prosthetic limbs for the needy.
Jody began his real estate career working along side his uncle selling land, ranches and lots in Ventura, Ojai, Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley. Adding that experience to the #1 Team, Calcagno & Hamilton, Jody works with buyers and sellers of homes in the Santa Ynez Valley. He continues to service the market for land, ranches and lots all across the central coast.
