Patrick Ahern

Patrick has over 30 years of experience in real estate. Shortly after graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in Business Finance and Real Estate, he founded and operated a successful real estate brokerage company.

After 1 year was recruited by one of the region's premier commercial brokerages, John Burnham & Company (now Cushman & Wakefield), where he negotiated and drafted more than 320 agreements, with a sales volume exceeding $60 million.

Utilizing skills as a journeyman carpenter, and as a real estate professional, he developed three buildings, two of which he still owns and manages. This experience allows Patrick to offer clients useful information about building design, construction materials and techniques; as well as valuable guidance about the complexities of successfully managing investment properties.

His next step was to pursue an MBA from University of Redlands and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, where he graduated with honors. He expanded his experience with the rewarding work as an Executive Business Coach in companies such as Qualcomm, Johnson & Johnson, Dow Chemical and the US Navy.

He was then encouraged by others, and his passion for real estate and helping people, to work full time again in real estate. Patrick chose Berkshire Hathaway CA Properties in La Jolla California where he continues to perform as a top producer year after year.

As a community leader, he has enjoyed serving on the board of numerous organizations as president or board member including La Jolla Parks and Beaches, La Jolla Community Planning Association, La Jolla Town Council, Gaslamp Quarter Association, Centre City Development Corporation PAC, Better Business Bureau, Windansea Surf Club, Mayor's Task Force on the Homeless, and more.

Raised in La Jolla, coupled with a deep knowledge of real estate, gives him the knowledge and skills to negotiate in his client's best interest quickly, effectively and successfully.
