I have been a California real estate Broker for over 35 years, first working with Grubb and Ellis Residential Realty (formerly Beach and Town) in Pacific Beach. My entire business career has been working in the coastal communities from Coronado to Carlsbad, where real estate has made some remarkable and dramatic changes since the 1970's…. from unbelievable high interest rates (15+%), long flat and stagnate property values to almost overnight strong, if not dramatic, skyrocketing property values, historic low interest rates, translating to a new "platinum coast".
I bring a broad background of experience and skills to my
client representation, having a firsthand knowledge of the many aspects of the real estate industry…..strong client negotiation, working with building designers, site acquisition, site preparation, construction
/fund control management/supervision, and ultimately marketing a finished product for sale. I have also worked in the mortgage industry for many years with Rancho Funding.
After moving from North Eastern Kansas at 15, I grew-up in the Mission Beach area, graduating from Mission Bay High School, and receiving my Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Social Science from Cal Western University (Campus is now occupied by Pt. Loma University), as well as a post-graduate K-8 California teaching credential…..enjoying very much substituting in the middle-grades when given the opportunity. I currently own my home in Encinitas, where I raised two of my three sons, both graduating from San Dieguito High School. Both sons were very active in the local theatre community, with one son receiving his BFA in theatre from Cal State University Fullerton.
