I'm Valerie and I love working as a real estate agent because it allows me to combine my passion for investing with my desire to help people establish roots in our community. I have a deep appreciation for the beautiful California coastline, with its stunning views and vibrant communities, and having lived in both Ventura and Santa Barbara, I bring expert knowledge of these areas to every transaction.

I grew up around real estate in Germany, spending my afternoons doing homework at my mom's real estate office or helping my dad fix up our rental properties. After pursuing a career in science and receiving a PhD in Earth Science from the University of Hamburg, Germany, I came to UCSB as a visiting researcher, where I met my husband Baird. Together with Baird, I started buying and renovating our own rental properties in Santa Barbara and Ventura. It wasn't long before my passion for real estate investing and fixing up houses led me to become a real estate agent. In my free time, I love to learn about every aspect of real estate investing, but also construction and home rehab, often doing much of the renovation work on our properties myself.
If I'm not at the office or at one of our properties swinging a hammer, you will find me running or mountain biking the trails with my Border Collie Maya, doing yoga, or surfing along our beautiful coastline.
