Joe's real estate background includes more than 14 years of experience as a real estate investor and property manager. Prior to joining Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, he was the owner and managing partner of The Havenhurst Group, a real estate development company. His clients included owners of single-family residences, condos, multi-unit apartments, and luxury oceanfront properties.
With outstanding talents in interior design and home staging, Joe quickly became recognized for his ability to keep clients' rental properties occupied at high rates of return and clients' sale properties listed for short market times and with successful closings.
Joe's entertainment expertise includes more than a decade as a television producer and development executive. He was an executive consultant and show runner for two home design shows: "Merge With Lisa Rinna," for Lifetime Network and "Before And After'noon Movies," for USA Networks. These shows allowed him to combine his passion for real estate and design with his producing and talent relations' acumen. Joe also served as president of Leeza Gibbons Enterprises, a multi-media entertainment company, where he produced and developed projects and series for various networks including MTV, Lifetime, E! Entertainment Television, TNN, and Premiere Radio Network.
Joe's media background offered him an insightful perspective of the demanding schedules and privacy issues that are critical to industry professionals. He has an acute appreciation for the importance of discretion and confidentiality, ensuring the best interests of his clients. In addition to being a successful businessman, Joe is truly invested in Los Angeles as evidenced by his impressive record of service to the community. He was one of the founding board members of the Southern California Chapter of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and has served on the national boards of directors for GLAAD and Outfest. In addition, he has worked on behalf of Para Los Ninos, American Red Cross, MDA, The March of Dimes, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and ChildHelp, among others.
